The Ministry of Justice and Public Security has appointed Siri Johnsen as director general of the Immigration Appeals Board from 1.1.2021.
Johnsen comes to the job from the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, where she usually holds the position as the department director for the Regulatory and Control section in the Migration Department.
Johnsen is well acquainted with UNE. She worked at UNE from the start in 2001, and was assistant director of UNE until she joined the Ministry of Justice and Public Security in 2013.
Johnsen has been appointed interim director after Ingunn-Sofie Aursnes retired on 31.12.2020. She will hold the position temporarily until a new director takes office after the hiring process has been completed. The application deadline for the position of director general is 8 January 2021.
