UNE has previously suspended the duty to return to Lebanon. The suspension has now been extended until 18 September 2026. This means that people from Lebanon who have received a final rejection of their application for residence in Norway are not currently required to return.
The police will not forcibly return anyone to Lebanon during this period. The decision is based on the serious and unpredictable security situation in Lebanon.
UNE is also continuing its decision to put cases that may involve return to Lebanon on hold during the same period.
